The sun was always lighting up your face, home base. Halloween was always fun, festive, your way. When you moved us out beyond the gate, I saw barbed wire and I felt safe. You let me walk amongst the dead mesquite. I raced my big wheel down the street. When the sun went down you whistled loud. I raced home to make you proud. Every once in a while I fucked up. You excepted it for what I was.

I drove your Fleetwood Cadillac, I wish I never gave it back. Wish we were in it right now. I'd drive you all around this town. We'd cruise the east and cruise the west. I'd always drive so you could rest. Won't you take me back to your home base? I wanna see your favorite places there.

Passion like molasses pouring in the kitchen sink. How is this all sounding? What do others think of me? The questions that myself, and know they do no good. Terrified I can't, knowing that I should always try.
Laundry in the dryer and I tidy'd up our house. Wanna a smile on your heartbeat as you return to the south. I know you felt a lot of there, here is where I stand. Solid as a rock in my life, I know you'll always take me how I am.
I don't really wanna burn out anymore.
